Upper Cape Fear River Basin Association

The Upper Cape Fear River Basin Association (UCFRBA) is a coalition of governments and industries in the upper reaches of the Cape Fear River basin who rely upon the resources of the river.  The UCFRBA provides water quality monitoring, leads projects to improve water use and water quality management.  This 501(c)3 non-profit organization was created in February 2000 in parallel with similar organizations representing the large water users in the Middle Cape Fear and Lower Cape Fear River Basins.  The Piedmont Triad Council of Governments and the Triangle J Council of Governments provide administrative support for the UCFRBA.  More detailed information about the UCFRBA can be found here; the 2007 Annual Report can be found here.  All water quality monitoring data collected since 2000 can be viewed here (a user name and a password are required for site access).
